Service Broker Edition

Service brokering is becoming an increasingly important need for service providers. Service brokering can be required to allow services arising in independently developed networks to be offered universally to all customers, allowing services built for one signaling/call control technology to be offered to customers served on a network using a different technology, or simply to arbitrate and resolve conflicts among different services. TappS™ Service Broker Edition can address all of these needs acting as a next generation service broker.

TappS Service Broker Edition supports both the switch (SFF) and SCP (SCF) interfaces of IN, allowing it to be connected as an intermediary between switches and SCPs to provide “Trigger Interaction Management" (TRIM). In an IP-based IMS network, TappS Service Broker Edition supports both sides of the SIP ISC interface, which connects session control to application services and can act as a Service Capability Interaction Management (SCIM) solution. Because TappS is a fully programmable platform, it can be used to develop complex brokering solutions involving protocol mapping (e.g. CAMEL to IN or IN to SIP) or application of multiple services to a single call.
