Reachability Manager is used to configure routing logic for incoming calls, at the individual or group level.
Each user defines a series of profiles, such as “at work”, “at home”, “on the road”, etc. For each profile, users specify how they want to receive calls; Reachability Manager supports sequential and parallel ringing between multiple devices, whether it’s a POTS line, a wireless device, a PBX/IP-PBX extension, or a soft phone.
Profile activation can be based on dynamic conditions such as location, presence, or simply at the user’s request via SMS for example. Profile activation can also be based on pre-determined conditions such as time of day, day of the week, specific date, calling number, or called number. Additional routing logic can be created for busy/no answer conditions.
Profiles and activation conditions can be defined by an administrator for an entire group of users, or can be managed individually by the end users themselves. All profile management activities are handled via Web or IVR interfaces.
By controlling the routing logic for incoming calls to multiple devices and phone numbers, users can quickly configure simple value-added services such as Find Me-Follow Me, Single-Number Reach, Call Forwarding, and Do Not Disturb without any specific intervention from their service provider(s).
